Community Response Officer
Impact
This role will be responsible for delivering a specific frontline Community Response project in the Tyne and Wear area:
This may include:
Homeless Support & Healthcare Service
Night-Time Economy support
Event and Welfare Support
Day/Centre Support
Expected Time Commitment:
60 hours per year
What you would be involved in?
Working with the relevant colleagues ensure services are delivered to a high standard and in line with relevant requirements.
Liaise and work collaboratively with external agencies to further develop and sustain the project.
Providing emotional support to individuals and their families.
Understanding their communication needs and adapting your communication to each individual, e.g. sounds, tones, body language.
Working with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support.

Are extremely reliable, trustworthy and good under pressure.
Are able to work on their own and also with clinical professionals as part of a team.
Have excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Are fit enough to meet the physical requirement for role.
Are willing to undergo relevant training for this role and have the capacity to sustain and develop their skills and knowledge.
Fitness:
Be in good health
Be physically fit for a role that may involve some moving and handling - you should be able to walk at least 20 meters holding the equivalent of two full shopping bags
