Community Health Responder

Impact

Our Community Health Responders work in the heart of our communities:

• RESPOND - respond to the health needs of a community

• CARE - care for citizens

• PROMOTE - promote healthy lives

• SUPPORT - support the vulnerable

• EDUCATE - people in lifesaving skills

Our Community Health Responder role is varied and can include:

• First Aid and Life saving Skills Sessions in the community and schools

• Supporting Homelessness projects

• Supporting our event services teams with welfare, lost children and lost property

• Providing first aid

• Providing health promotion

• and much more

Due to contracts being region-wide ideal candidates must be a car driver with own vehicle and willing to travel ,as well as being flexible and able to work weekends.

FULL TRAINING IS PROVIDED

What you would be involved in?

• To raise awareness of the importance of first aid and health, within your local area.

• Delivery of first aid and health activities to the public

• Ensure that equipment being used is fit for purpose, used correctly and is clean

• To report defects to equipment and any other operational issues as soon as possible

• To undertake training for role and keep up to date as needed

• To maintain patient confidentiality, health and safety at all times

• To keep appropriate patient treatment records; training received and hours

We are looking for people who:

• Someone who has an interest in providing healthcare and related activities

• Someone who has good communication skills, especially with the public and patients

• Someone who is able to work as part of a team

• Willing to undertake training relevant to role

• Be physically fit for role.
