The Student Volunteering Officer, working as part of a team, they will be responsible for providing specialist advice and support to student volunteering across the North East UK
Community Advocate
We enable communities to be safer by giving people lifesaving skills and knowledge to help their families and people around them. We are currently looking for volunteer Community Advocates who will help to be the difference within their community by building relationships and promoting the importance of learning lifesaving skills.
As a Community Advocate you will have the opportunity to be involved in delivering our programme of first aid education and awareness; from helping us to promote our work and the importance of first aid, to planning and running first aid workshops in your community. These workshops will provide skills to people who might not necessarily have the chance to learn them, meaning they can become that most vital of things; the difference between a life lost and a life saved. During the current climate and effects of COVID-19, to ensure everyone’s safety, workshops will be delivered virtually and you will be supported to deliver these to your community.
Summer Intern
We are the first pre-hospital care company in the country to offer health and medical internships to students. The placement scheme that sees undergraduates work in the service around their studies 5 months over the Summer. Students are placed within a business area that supports their learning and development. During their internships, students will immerse themselves in the day to day work of a team whilst working. Our scheme not only provides students with valuable knowledge to support their studies but also essential work experience to increase skills, experience and employability
The annual application window opens in February 2020. A Short selection process takes place in March 2020 Successful candidates start a with a weekend of Essential Training in April, with opportunities for work to soon follow.
