Q: What regiments are there in each division?
A: The Army National Guard is composed of the 3rd Infantry Regiment, 6th Ranger Regiment and 1st Military Police Regiment. The Air National Guard is composed of the 101st Rotary Group, 193rd Special Operations Squadron and the Air Education and Training Command. The Coast Guard is composed of the Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron, Maritime Law Enforcement and the Maritime Security Response Team.
Q: What is the jurisdiction for the National Guard?
A: Jurisdictions for the National Guard are defined in the National Guard Duty Act. The National Guard retains jurisdiction over the Town of Greendale and may leave if deployed by the Governor or Major General, called out by a law enforcement officer for a situation, or if MP/CG, are pursuing a fleeing individual. The Coast Guard retains jurisdiction over all bodies of water in the State of Firestone.
Q: Do I need a POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certification to be FNG?
A: No. You only need a POST certification if you intend on becoming Coast Guard or Military Police. The 3rd Infantry Regiment, 6th Ranger Regiment and Air National Guard do not require POST certifications.
Q: Is training for the National Guard hard?
A: As the National Guard is a combat-oriented department, we have high standards for our training processes. It will be difficult but extremely rewarding upon completion.
Q: Am I allowed to record my patrols while on the National Guard team?
A: Yes, all guardsmen are free to record their patrols. If you intend to post videos of your patrols publicly (e.g on YouTube or other streaming sites), you require to get the video declassified by the Major General or Brigadier General. We do not permit individuals to stream on Twitch or YouTube whilst on the National Guard team.
