This article covers authenticated meeting access using a cross-cloud meeting connection. This is similar to in-cloud meetings using external access in that participants can join meetings as authenticated participants without requiring guest accounts in the other organization. (Cross-cloud meetings don't require external access to be configured.)

With cross-cloud meeting connections, you can allow or prevent meetings between your organization and an organization in another cloud. Cross-cloud meeting connections use organizational relationships defined in cross-tenant access settings in Microsoft Entra ID.

If a cross-tenant connection between organizations already exists in Microsoft Entra cross-tenant access settings, it will appear in meeting settings in the Teams admin center. You can edit this connection to choose if meetings are allowed between the two tenants.

If the connection doesn't exist, you can add it in Teams meeting settings. This will add a new organization in the cross-tenant access settings in Microsoft Entra ID using the default settings that you've defined for inbound and outbound access and tenant restrictions. (This will enable B2B collaboration with the other organization if the defaults allow it.)

If you're setting up a cross-cloud meeting connection with a tenant that's in a different Microsoft Azure cloud environment than yours, then you need to enable connections with that cloud before you set up the meeting connection itself.

To create a new cross-cloud meeting connection, you need the tenant ID or the fully qualified domain name for the organization that you want to meet with. Note that meetings between tenants in Microsoft Azure Government (Microsoft 365 GCC High and DoD) can't create a cross-cloud meeting connection with tenants in Microsoft Azure China.

To edit a cross-cloud meeting connection, you need the tenant ID or the fully qualified domain name for the organization that you want to meet with. The list of tenants in meeting settings shows the tenant ID, but you can use the Lookup option to search by fully qualified domain name and find the correct tenant ID in the list.

With Microsoft Teams, you get rich online content collaboration in meetings that include audio, video, and content sharing. This can be enjoyed through the desktop and web client, as well as through many partner devices that integrate natively with Microsoft Teams. However, many customers have already invested in video communication devices, which can be expensive to upgrade. Cloud Video Interop provides an easy solution, which allows you to keep using your existing solutions until you're ready to upgrade.

Microsoft continues to work with Cloud Video Interop (CVI) partners to make meetings between Microsoft Teams and other services more seamless for users. The table below details which features are available or planned.

It's also important to understand that you'll need a license for each user who will schedule meetings in which you want a Cloud Video Interop-enabled device to join. Note that exact licensing requirements can be obtained from the Cloud Video Interop partner. Ensure that this is clear before you start your deployment.

After a user is enabled for Cloud Video Interop, any meeting scheduled using the Teams Meeting Add-in for Outlook, the Teams Client or Outlook Web Access (OWA) will have the appropriate additional information automatically added into the Teams meeting so that Cloud Video Interop-compatible devices can join these meetings.

Depending on the partner solution, there are several ways to join a Cloud Video Interop-enabled meeting. Exact meeting join scenarios will be provided by your Cloud Video Interop partner. We've listed some examples below:

The information you have had from the court or tribunal will tell you when your hearing is and may ask you to check you can join the hearing using CVP. Please carry out the check as soon as possible so your hearing is not delayed.

We've all been there! You're in the meeting room scrambling for the meeting joining details two minutes before the meeting starts. Not fully understanding how to join via the meeting room device and feeling stressed. You are not alone.

With our One-Touch Join solution video meeting room, users are empowered to join Microsoft Teams and a wide range of other cloud solutions meetings, such as WebEx or Zoom, from a Cisco or Poly VTC with the touch of a single button.

We are pleased to announce there are now two flavors of our One-Touch Join solution to choose from: the original One-Touch Join for Self-hosted, which complements customers deploying Pexip Infinity, and our newest edition, One-Touch Join for Pexip Service, which is part of the Pexip Service offer for those customers who prefer a cloud solution.

Both versions deliver a seamless join experience on Cisco and Poly VTCs and provide a simple connection to different meeting types. One-Touch Join for Pexip Service is hosted and managed in the Pexip Cloud, making it a perfect match for customers transitioning to the cloud.

To make sure your data is safe, Google Meet uses several encryption methods. For 1:1 and group calling where you directly ring a person, end-to-end encryption is used to mask data with a code that only you and the other callers have access to. For meetings and Meet calls in Google Meet, your information is encrypted in transit and at rest in Google's data centers. Organizations can also use client-side encryption to have full control of their encryption keys to add an additional layer of protection. Learn more about client-side encryption.

If you've integrated your CUCM and on-prem endpoints to WebEx cloud (Control Hub) via Device connector then the call flow is different because the signalling will not go via the Expressway/CUCM but direct to WebEx cloud.

The Cloud & Infrastructure Community of Practice (C&I CoP) is chartered under the Federal CIO Council and supported by GSA. The C&I CoP is designed for IT practitioners who want to learn about application rationalization, data center optimization, and federal cloud computing.

Microsoft Teams Cross Cloud Anonymous Meeting Join (CCA) is now fully deployed. This allows meeting attendees from Commercial, GCC, GCCH and DoD to join meetings anonymously in any direction using thick client, mobile and web apps. We are hard at work on expanding cross cloud for both Teams Cross Cloud Meeting Join (CCM) and Cross Cloud Guest Access (CCGA). Please continue to watch our roadmaps.

As a speaker, you can use a word cloud to crowdsource insights from your audience that you can use to kick off a discussion with your audience. Use one of these thought-provoking word clouds to make your presentation more conversational.

Zoom is a cloud-based solution for video and audio conferencing, mobile collaboration, and online meetings and Webinars. Zoom's web-based conferencing uses high-quality video and audio and is accessible on MacOS, Windows, iOS and Android mobile devices. Additionally, Zoom can be used with conventional phone lines for audio conferencing. Finally, this online solution can also connect to existing Polycom, Tandberg, LifeSize, and similar devices.

All personal settings in your account including profile, meeting and webinar schedules, audio conference will be moved over automatically once you switched to the HIPAA compliant account, and all data will be kept in the original order.

Note: This new functionality will only affect the Teams desktop client. Teams web client meeting join experiences will remain unchanged as they already support cross cloud meeting join.

This change only impacts your organization if Anonymous Access to Teams Meetings is turned on in your tenant. When enabled, this feature allows users in other tenants and other Microsoft Clouds to join meetings hosted in your tenant as unauthenticated (anonymous) users.
