In 2022 the Town received a grant from the New York Department of State to update their Comprehensive Plan. The Town has partnered with the Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board to prepare this updated plan. The final plan was adopted by the Johnsburg Town Board on May 20,2025.
