John Romine

I develop web-based applications and websites using PHP, Javascript, MySQL, Drupal, and Backdrop CMS. My development focus is on open-source, reusable code to create applications with outstanding user experience.

I've developed software from assembly through high level languages including C and PHP. I've worked as a systems programmer, UNIX/Linux systems administrator, network manager, Database administrator, application developer, and manager. I'm a strong advocate for collaborative, open-source solutions.

As Director of Computing, I manage information technology operation and support for the School of Engineering at the University of California, Irvine.
