John Manning is a founding member of the Atlantic Brass Quintet, Associate Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at the University of Iowa, and a Yamaha Performing Artist. He has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral musician across the United States and around the world. John can be heard on over a dozen recordings and has served on the faculties of Boston Conservatory, Boston University, Tanglewood Institute, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He has served as principal tubist with the Albany Symphony and the Vermont Symphony and has released two recordings on the Summit Records label. John is a member of the International Tuba Euphonium Association, has hosted two regional tuba euphonium conferences and will be the host of the 2019 International Tuba Euphonium Conference at the University of Iowa Voxman School of Music.
