2021.06.21 Update:
Dear Family and Friends,
The capacity limit of the church was just lifted, so all are welcome at the July 9 funeral Mass. We ask that everyone in attendance wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. The Mass will take place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (https://trinity.org/) on Friday, July 9th at 10:30 AM, with a pre-mass gathering starting at 9:30 AM. We will also still be live-streaming the Mass, with a link to come later.
Additionally, we invite anyone to submit a written tribute or memory of Johnny, to be printed in a memorial book that we will be publishing and distributing at the Mass. We will also publish these tributes online at https://sites.google.com/view/johnmaistomemorial/home. To meet the print publishing timelines, please submit a tribute of up to 200 words, and up to two photos, to johnmaistomemorial@gmail.com by Friday, June 25th. Any tributes that we receive after June 25th will appear on the online page only. If you have posted something online already and would like us simply to copy it into the memorial book, please let us know.
2021.06.08 update:
Dear Family and Friends,
Our greetings and love to all of you, wishing that you are healthy, enjoying the summer, and fascinated by the cicadas (if you are so blessed)! We are writing to update you on plans for celebrating Johnny's life.
On Friday, July 9th at 10:30 AM (EDT) we will celebrate his requiem mass, followed by interment of ashes. Per the church's COVID guidelines, which may change, we must limit the number of in-person attendees and will notify individuals as spaces become available. However, the mass will be livestreamed and we will share the link here for anyone who wishes to attend virtually.
The mass and interment will be followed by a reception. We will update on plans as soon as they are final.
We invite you to submit a written tribute or remembrance of up to 200 words of Johnny, to be printed in a memorial book that we will be publishing and distributing to all of you. We will also publish these tributes online on this page.
To meet the print publishing timelines, please submit an up to 200-word tribute, and up to two photos, here, by Sunday, June 20th. Any tributes that we receive after June 20th will appear on the online page only. If you have posted something online already and would like us simply to copy it into the memorial book, please let us know.
Please be sure to include your mailing address if you would like us to mail you a memorial book.
Thank you for your continued love and support--sending you our warmest regards,
Adam, Susanna, John, Nini, Maria, Tina, Kate, Karen, Eddie, Bill, Luisa, John, and Emilie
