Alexander Kershaw is an emerging fashion designer living in Toronto, where he attends the University of Toronto in the Master of Architecture program. His experimental attitude toward form and garment is fuelled by a preoccupation with space and performativity as well as questions of gender and identity as they are reflected in the conventions and languages of fashion and popular culture. Their pieces can be quite playful with silhouettes and colour palettes, where the clothes speak for themselves Think streetwear with an avant-garde twist!
Body positivity, akin to the captivating allure of glass, unfolds as a delicate
masterpiece. Like the fragility of glass, it mirrors the vulnerability in our self-
perception. With the mere snap of a finger, we risk seeing ourselves through
the lens of cracked glass under societal pressures, yet, like glass reshaped
by heat, we possess the power to mold our narrative. Embracing our unique
selves becomes the transformative heat, allowing us to radiate our beauty,
resilient and distinct in the face of societal expectations.
