November 23, 2025: My paper with Alison Mirin, Paulo Tan, and Rachel VanDaalen, ``Recognizing disability as diversity: The importance of and plans for exploring attitudes and ableism in tertiary maths", is now available in Meanjin Delta 2025 Proceedings: The 15th Southern Hemisphere Conference on the Teaching and Learning of Undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics, Nov. 2025, pp. 41-51. I shared my educational research in Meanjin DELTA 2025 (virtually), hosted by the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.

February 26-March 3, 2023: I shared my research in the Butterfly factorizations: Algorithms, applications and theory minisymposium in the SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering (CSE23) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I received a SIAM Early Career Travel Grant and a Postdoctoral Affairs Travel Grant to support this presentation.

July 27, 2021: I successfully defended my dissertation, entitled “Spectral, numerical, and group properties of random butterfly matrices”. My committee was comprised of Mike Cranston (Chair), Tom Trogdon and Roman Vershynin.

June 16, 2021: I was awarded an Outstanding DECADE Representative for 2020-2021 Award of $1,000 by the UCI Grad Division and the Office of Inclusive Excellence for my work in promoting and supporting DEI activities around campus.

June 11, 2021: I received the Outstanding Contributions to the Department Award from the UCI School of Physical Sciences.

May 17-21, 2021: I shared my research in the mini-symposium Random matrices and numerical linear algebra as part of the virtual SIAM Conference on Applied Linear Algebra. I received a SIAM Student Travel Grant to support this presentation.

May 14, 2021: I organized and helped facilitate a Data Science Career Panel jointly with COMP and the UCI SIAM chapter.

May 11, 2021: I shared my research in the Random Matrix Journal Club hosted virtually by the University of Washington.

April 30, 2021: I prepared the report “Math CEO transition to a virtual environment: Preliminary assessment” in support of a proposal for external funding for Math CEO.

April 23-26, 2021: I served on the Models for orienting graduate students panel at the paraDIGMS Spring 2021 conference, which was hosted virtually by IMSI.

April 3, 2021: I was awarded a Summer Inclusive Excellence Award of $5,000 by the UCI Grad Division for my continued work with the Math CEO program.

January 26, 2021: I accepted a position as the Richard Pierce Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Mathematics at the University of Arizona starting Fall 2021.

January 25, 2021: I am featured in a news brief on the UCI Physical Sciences Communications page regarding the Inclusive Excellence Spirit Award given to Alessandra Pantano.
