John McKeon

I'm an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Syracuse University, Whitman School of Management. I conduct research focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, primarily studying how competition and technology shape the rate and direction of innovation. My research has been recognized as a nominee for the SMS Best Conference Paper, a winner of the SMS Best PhD Paper, and has received the Questrom Outstanding Doctoral Research Award. My work has also received an NBER Economics of Science Grant, a Will Mitchell SRF Dissertation Grant, and has been published in Management Science.

I have taught Strategy, Innovation, and Global Competition at the undergraduate level where I'm passionate about helping students apply strategy and innovation concepts to real world scenarios. I received the Questrom Outstanding PhD Teaching Award. In my free time I enjoy music, distance running, and the Patriots.
