My wife attended the Ottawa Carleton District School Board system in Arnprior and graduated with a diploma from Humber College in Advertising Graphic Design. My eldest daughter graduated from McGill University as a Registered Nurse and my youngest daughter graduated from University of Ontario in the field of Criminology.

Management

I have worked for multinational companies in the building services industries including (Elevator and HVAC companies) for over 25 years across Canada and the USA. I have General Management, Project Management and consulting career experience. My job responsibilities as a GM included being responsible for customer service, budget compliance, branch safety and management of our office and field employees.

I have technical/management expertise in the following area to assist me in becoming an effective school trustee:

As a General Manager preparing and meeting annual budgets and P&L responsibility. Reviewing monthly income statements and performance reports and implementing changes to the plans to ensure the targets are met

Facilities Management Operations Experience

Construction document expertise

Including RFP s, tenders, CCDC documents and subcontractors service and maintenance contracts, insurance and bonding requirements

Advocate for the skilled trades

The skilled trades are represent a vastly underrated desirable career opportunity for our students. There are over 200 different skilled trades located across Canada and 85,000 current skilled trade construction jobs alone in the Greater Toronto Area that are not being filled.

Bottom Line
