I am a graduate student at Texas A&M University working on research in stellar astrophysics. I was born in Atlanta, GA but have lived in the Florida panhandle for most of my life. In 2023, I graduated from the University of Florida with a triple major in astrophysics, mathematics, and music composition, and I am now pursuing a PhD in astronomy with hopes of continuing my career in academia.

Research

My research is primarily in the fields of nuclear astrophysics and stellar archaeology, and I have experience in both computational and observational work. I study chemically peculiar metal-poor stars of various enrichment signatures with the goal of constraining the possible astrophysical sites where these stars may form.

Outreach

I also have a passion for astronomy education, and I am working on public talks, research papers, and projects on increasing accessibility of astronomical data. Specifically, I am incorporating skills from my music degree to create an electronic music interface (PIANISSIMO) that translates stellar spectra into an auditory format, as a tool for both education and accessibility for blind and low vision researchers.
