I am a data scientist, leader, researcher and educator. Currently I lead the in-house consultancy for advanced analytics and AI at PHOENIX group where we focus on value generation and clear business impact. I align business strategy with data use, focus on finding real value cases, make sure data work is compliant and set up the technological and educational fundaments for lasting change.
I am 99% a business person educated at management schools, and 99% a computer scientist with deep roots in quantitative methods, operational research, statistics, and applied econometrics.
Before joining PHOENIX I was a Professor of Information Systems, Digital Transformation and Analytics at the University of Cologne and worked with students, executives and startups. I received my Ph.D. from Mannheim.
