Meet Donkey T. Cartoon and Narwhal T. Cartoon, two best buddies who often appear in hyper-violent cartoons together purely for profit. The former is wise but always hungry, while the latter is stupid but always acts like he knows everything about the cartoon "business".
After a minor comeuppance that caused cartoon characters to go to Earth and become second-class citizens, you might think that they would try and search themselves... but they're still not immune to their usual shenanigans. They gotta deal with low pay, the Bugles, and other nonsensical things 24/7.
Along with those tried and true generic shenanigans, see them lampoon various works of media on television and the movies, explore some political concepts, and even deal with some self-hatred.
It's time to waste your time!
Donkey T. Cartoon is your average everyday gray cartoon donkey. Despite frequently being subject to odd shenanigans and gags, he is generally a "no-nonsense" kind of cartoon character, preferring to dive into moral and intellectual pursuits—when he doesn't have a ginormous appetite!
Narwhal T. Cartoon is a light gray cartoon narwhal, who, to put it extremely lightly, isn't the smartest light in the room. Temperamental and known for his greed, inability to tell funny jokes, poor manners and hygiene, he always gets himself to some sort of trouble—with karma itself! Strangely, he is the only character who knows that he is in a cartoon, but the other characters never give him enough credit for
Bugle The Alien is a mentally insane hybrid creature of a rabbit, lizard, monkey, penguin, scorpionfly, and an amoeba. He is one of many Bugles, a race of creatures who work for Master Bugle (who is the first Bugle who is granted with immortality, but not so much with smarts on how to destroy humanity and how to "take over the world"), who was sent out to hinder the cartoon characters and the humans alike. Despite that, though, he is good friends with Donkey, Narwhal, and Helvetica. Will he succeed in his mission? Probably not, due to obligatory "cartoon logic"!
Helvetica is the only female main character, who is an anthropomorphic cricket who actually has more personality than just the fact that she is female (*Big shocker*)! She is strong, courageous, and frequently likes to pick on Donkey and Narwhal for typically being pretty gullible towards The C.E.O. of Dr. Dooganhowie Network™ and his devious wishes. She also likes to tag along with both of them on their adventures, though she does has a small liking for Narwhal.
The C.E.O. Of Dr. Dooganhowie Network™ is a really greedy TV network owner who doesn't really understand how business is supposed to work, and even when he does, the employees, animated or otherwise, will want to rebel against him! He thinks that Donkey, Narwhal, and all of their friends are just "for the kiddies", and he also barely ever recognizes them as significant driving forces for the massive profit that they have! Can this guy be any more deranged?
Dr. John Dooganhowie is the young aspiring son of The C.E.O., the founder and current owner of the TV network that was named after his likeness. He is very apprehensive to fame and prefers to live a quiet life. He is a TV doctor (*much like Dr. Phil*) also "the cartoon medic", specializing in helping the cartoon characters whenever they go through life-threatening injuries that happen outside of their usual cartoonish shenanigans.
Petro T. Cartoon is the geeky light blue mudskipper/dolphin hybrid who specializes in technical knowledge and in unrealistic economical theories. He generally prefers to live his life free of any and all conflict, though that attitude always frequently bounces back off of him, especially when Narwhal kills him frequently.
