Primary address voters: Those voters whose primary address are within the election area (Pukehīnau/Lambton General Ward), happy voting!
Ratepayer electors: Those who pay rates (as an individual, group, or organisation) on a property in the election area (Pukehīnau/Lambton General Ward) whose primary address is outside of the election area may be eligible to register and vote as a ratepayer elector.

For anyone eligible and wishing to vote as a ratepayer elector in the Pukehīnau/Lambton General Ward by-election, they need to complete the ratepayer elector enrolment form (which will require information on their rates notice) and visit the voting hub at Arapaki Manners Library and Service Centre to be issued a special vote.
Eligibility to vote: Information on eligibility to vote is available here: Are you eligible to enrol and vote? | Vote NZ. Permanent residents, defined as being in New Zealand legally and not required to leave within a specific time, can vote. If you are on a work or study visa that requires you to leave New Zealand by a certain date you are not eligible to enrol and vote.
Where to vote: There are 14 ballot bins across the ward to return votes to, including almost all supermarkets, and WCC libraries.
