I am a Ph.D. student in Economics at Duke University. My interests are in Urban and Development Economics. I am particularly interested in the role of informal institutions and the media on housing markets, crime and segregation patterns. Those are all instances of the big question for me: what makes or breaks cooperation between groups of people?

Before Duke, I did my M.A. at UC Louvain in Belgium and my B.A. at National University of Colombia in Bogota. I have also worked as a Research Assistant at Fedesarrollo.
