Jamini Mazumder Memorial College, Patiram
The Department of Sociology, Jamini Mazumder Memorial College started its journey in the year of 2013 with the initiation of sociology as a pass subject in B.A. stream with Two faculty members and near about 400 students. The students pursuing their undergraduate in the department not only have to learn critical approaches and perspectives in the classroom but are also encouraged to participate in short field visits during vacations as part of their mandatory research projects. Departmental field work is an applied part of social research methods. This field aims to aquatint students with empirical field data collection, analysis and writing analytical and standard dissertation or research report in sociology.
