Our Daddy Only Knew Shrimping, Oystering & Our Mother Taking Care Of 5 Daughters (And Then Some)…
They Were Told They Would Fail By A Banker, So Our Grandfather Loaned Our Parents $250 To Buy Groceries To Sell. 

Our Saving Grace Was They Both Were Excellent Parents & Wonderful Cooks.

So With $250 & An Old Oilfield Building, Our Very Special Friend (Bert Haynes) Let Us Rent, Our Parents Began Their Journey Of Josie's Mexican Food!!

We’ve Been At The Very Bottom & At The Top. We Have Customers Who Have Been With Us Since Day One Who Are Still  The Backbone To Our Success!! You Have Supported Our Business Through Think & Thin. During Our Crazy Hours & Being Short Staffed, You Waited Patiently, Waited On A Few Tables Or Cleaned Them Off. You Called To See If We Needed Anything From Town Or Went To Town For Us. You Fed Our Kids & Sometimes Took Them Home To Play With Yours During Our Lunch Rush. You Have Given Us More Than Any Of That. You Gave Us A Friendship! You ARE Family…And We Will Forever Be Grateful For You!

After Losing Our Daddy Almost 8 Years Ago JMF Seemed Impossible To Me. He WAS The Pusher, Believer, The One You Got A Pep Talk From That Filled Up Your Tank To Go Another Few Years, The One That Insisted We All Sit Down Together To Enjoy A Meal. But Now, I Think Mostly He Wanted Us There So He Could See How We Were Doing. And Who Needed To Get Lead Back On The Right Path.
Josies Mexican Food Cantina Is Here To Give Us A Place To Remember Our Parents Dream. Give Us A Job Where We Can Be Together And Do Our Best To Serve You Fresh Homemade Meals.
