My work experience has enabled me to develop an international lens as well as competence and enthusiasm for impact, innovation, and development. I'm passionate about higher education in both my research and my teaching, and I regularly contribute to the development and dissemination of pedagogy across various organisations and events. I'm also interested in motivating students' learning, materials design, and social justice. My research interests revolve around a number of areas including: numerous subfields of applied linguistic - educational linguistics, computational linguistics (primarily corpus), psycholinguistics, and sociolinguistics; pedagogy; intercultural communication; and educational technology.
I hold an MSc TESOL (Distinction) from the University of St Andrews and a CELTA. I'm currently undertaking the PGCert in Learning and Teaching in HE at the University of Stirling. I also have a background in history with a BA (Hons) from University of Stirling and an MSc from the University of Edinburgh.
