If you want secure, sweat-resistant earbuds with active noise cancellation for exercise, choose JLab JBuds Sport ANC; if you need semi-in-ear comfort and translation features for casual conversations, choose JKNKCO NE70. For workouts, I’d pick the JLab: its earhook design, IP66 rating, and adjustable listening modes make it the more purpose-built option. The NE70’s LCD touch-screen case and language tools are distinctive, but its IPX5 protection and semi-in-ear fit point to lighter, less demanding use.
• JLab JBuds Sport ANC strength: An earhook fit, IP66 protection, and hybrid active noise cancellation with a Be Aware mode. Trade-off: It does not offer the NE70’s translation functions or LCD touch-screen case.
• JKNKCO NE70 strength: Semi-in-ear earbuds with a touch-screen charging case and app-based support for casual translation in 165 languages. Trade-off: Translation needs the dedicated app and an internet connection; offline translation is not supported.
• Battery: JLab lists 14-plus hours per earbud and 60-plus total with its case; JKNKCO lists four to six hours per charge and up to 60 total with its case.
• Workout protection: JLab is rated IP66 against sweat and dirt; JKNKCO is rated IPX5 for sweat, light rain, and splashes.
• Who each suits: Choose JLab for a more secure, workout-focused fit and adjustable noise control; choose JKNKCO for semi-in-ear wear and casual multilingual communication.
JLab’s defining choice is the earhook. It is designed to hold the earbuds in place through activities such as running, lifting, and longer outdoor sessions. That makes this the more convincing option for someone who wants earbuds that feel built around movement rather than simply suitable for occasional exercise. The IP66 rating also gives it stronger stated protection against sweat and dirt than the NE70’s IPX5 rating.
Noise control is another practical advantage. Hybrid active noise cancellation is specified to reduce ambient noise by up to 25 dB, while Be Aware mode lets more of the surrounding environment through. You can adjust those settings in the app, along with touch controls and sound preferences. There is also a built-in interval timer, a useful extra for someone who organizes workouts around timed sets or intervals.

I’d steer active users toward JLab if fit security, sweat protection, and control over how much outside sound they hear are priorities. Its listed battery life is 14-plus hours per earbud, with 60-plus hours total when the case is included. Skip it if you specifically want translation tools, a semi-in-ear design, or a case with a touch screen; those are not its selling points.
The NE70 takes a different route. Its semi-in-ear design is intended to sit without the squeezing feel some people associate with earbuds that seal more firmly. It also includes a detachable anti-loss lanyard, which can be useful when you want a way to keep the earbuds together between listening sessions. These details make it worth considering for commuting, everyday wear, and lighter outdoor activities.
Its standout feature is translation support. The earbuds work with a dedicated app to provide translation across 165 languages for casual conversation. That feature requires Wi-Fi or cellular data, and the product does not support offline translation. The stated limitation matters: it is intended as an aid for everyday exchanges, not as a substitute for professional interpreting or high-precision translation.
The NE70 also has a touch-screen charging case for controlling music, calls, and functions, plus Bluetooth 6.0 and an IPX5 rating for sweat, light rain, and splashes. JKNKCO lists four to six hours of playback per charge and up to 60 hours in total with the case. I’d consider it if comfort, the case interface, or casual translation matters more to you than a workout-oriented earhook and stronger stated sweat-and-dirt protection.
• Best for a secure fit during exercise → JLab JBuds Sport ANC. The earhook is designed to stay in place through sprints, lifts, and outdoor sessions. The NE70’s semi-in-ear shape emphasizes a lighter, less squeezing fit instead.
• Best for stronger stated protection against sweat and dirt → JLab JBuds Sport ANC. It carries an IP66 rating. The NE70’s IPX5 rating covers sweat, light rain, and splashes.
• Best for adjusting how much outside sound comes through → JLab JBuds Sport ANC. It offers hybrid active noise cancellation and a Be Aware mode, with adjustable settings in the app.
• Best for casual translation → JKNKCO NE70. Its app-based feature supports 165 languages, but requires an internet connection and is not intended for professional or high-precision interpreting.
• Best for a touch-screen charging case → JKNKCO NE70. Its case provides touch-screen controls for music, calls, and functions. JLab instead emphasizes its app and touch controls on the earbuds.
• Best for listed listening time per charge → JLab JBuds Sport ANC. JLab specifies more than 14 hours per earbud, compared with four to six hours for the NE70. Both list up to or more than 60 hours total with their cases, though the figures are stated differently.
• Best for two-device switching → JLab JBuds Sport ANC. Bluetooth Multipoint lets it connect to two devices simultaneously, such as a phone and laptop.
• Best for a semi-in-ear alternative to earhooks → JKNKCO NE70. Its fit is designed to rest in the ear without squeezing, while JLab uses an earhook shape intended to secure the earbuds for movement.
For anyone searching for the best sweatproof wireless headset for exercise, the protection rating and fit are more useful decision points than a broad label like “sports earbuds.” JLab has the stronger case for demanding workouts; the NE70 is more compelling when its translation and case features are central to the purchase.
The NE70 may also catch the eye of shoppers looking for the best rotatable ear cups ear clip headphones for exercise, but it is not described as having rotatable ear cups or an ear clip. Its design is semi-in-ear. JLab has an earhook, which is a distinct fit style. If your priority is instead the best comfortable in ear earbuds for exercise, consider whether you prefer the NE70’s semi-in-ear feel or JLab’s more secured earhook design; neither shape is a universal comfort winner.
I’d buy the JLab JBuds Sport ANC for exercise because its earhook, IP66 rating, and adjustable ANC and Be Aware modes make it the clearer workout-focused choice. Its stated per-earbud listening time is another meaningful advantage. I’d choose the JKNKCO NE70 instead if casual translation, a semi-in-ear fit, or a touch-screen case matters more to me than a secure sports fit. The deciding question is simple: workout-focused earbuds, or earbuds with extra everyday communication features?
JLab is the more workout-focused option: it has an earhook design, an IP66 rating, and both active noise cancellation and Be Aware mode. The NE70 is rated IPX5 and has a semi-in-ear fit.
No. Translation requires the dedicated app and Wi-Fi or cellular data; offline translation is not supported. The feature is intended for casual conversation rather than professional or high-precision interpreting.
JLab lists 14-plus hours per earbud. JKNKCO lists four to six hours per charge. Both products list 60-plus hours or up to 60 hours of total use with the charging case, respectively.
That depends on the fit style you prefer. The NE70 is semi-in-ear and designed not to squeeze, while JLab uses an earhook intended to hold the earbuds in place during movement. The listed specifications do not establish that one will feel better for every wearer.
