If you want over-ear active noise cancellation with massive battery life and multipoint connectivity for airplane travel, choose JLab JBuds Lux ANC; if you need a pressure-free sleep mask that blocks light and sound for side sleeping or meditation, choose VINTEAM 3D. These are not interchangeable devices; one is a premium audio headset designed for listening while awake, and the other is a specialized wearable built to help you drift off into deep sleep without touching your ears.
• JLab JBuds Lux ANC: Delivers industry-leading battery life (70+ hours) and hybrid active noise cancellation up to 35 dB, but it is bulky and lacks water resistance. Best for travelers who need long-haul entertainment and clear calls.
• VINTEAM 3D: Offers a contoured design that eliminates eye pressure for side sleepers and provides total blackout, but it relies on Bluetooth speakers rather than drivers and has limited playtime (12+ hours). Best for insomniacs, light-sensitive sleepers, and those who hate earbuds.
• The Verdict: You buy the JLab for your commute and work week; you buy the VINTEAM strictly for bedtime and nap time.
The JLab JBuds Lux ANC is engineered for people who demand endurance from their audio gear. The standout feature here is the sheer longevity of the battery. With 70+ hours of total playtime, you can charge these headphones once and cover nearly two full work weeks. Even when you activate the Active Noise Cancellation mode, you still get over 40 hours of listening time. This makes them an absolute powerhouse for long-haul flights where charging ports might be scarce or non-functional. If you are flying across time zones, this battery capacity ensures you won't run out of power before you land.
Comfort is another pillar of this product's identity. JLab uses Cloud Foam in both the earcups and the headband. These cushions are designed to cushion long sessions, whether you are sitting at a desk for eight hours or enduring a cross-country flight. The earcup shape is form-fitted to the natural outline of the ear, which helps distribute weight evenly. However, because these are over-ear headphones with substantial foam padding, they will feel bulky compared to anything else in this comparison. They are not designed to fit under a pillow or allow you to lie on your side comfortably.
This device also shines for professionals who need to manage multiple devices. It features Bluetooth Multipoint, allowing you to connect to your phone and laptop simultaneously. You can switch between a call on your phone and music on your computer without re-pairing. The JLab App gives you granular control over the sound, letting you tune the EQ, adjust ANC levels, and remap touch controls. If you need crystal-clear voice assistant functionality or want to share audio wirelessly with a friend using Wireless Share Mode, this headset delivers. Just remember that there is no IP rating listed, so you cannot take these into the rain or sweat through a heavy workout without risking damage.

The VINTEAM 3D is a completely different category of product entirely. It is not a standard headphone; it is a sleep mask with integrated Bluetooth technology. Its primary purpose is to create a dark, quiet sanctuary for your eyes and ears. The most critical feature for any sleeper is the 3D contoured eye cups. These spacious cavities reduce pressure on your eyes, allowing for natural blinking even when you are wearing the mask. This design specifically targets side sleepers who usually find traditional headphones painful because the ear cup digs into the side of their face. With the VINTEAM 3D, you can lie on your side without any pressure points.
Light sensitivity is a major issue for many travelers and night owls, and this mask addresses it head-on with a full blackout design. It effectively blocks ambient light from bedrooms, airplanes, and hotels, helping you fall asleep faster. Unlike over-ear headphones that might let light leak around the sides, this mask seals the area around your eyes. The audio delivery system consists of ultra-thin built-in speakers that are adjustable to match your ear position. This allows you to listen to white noise, guided meditations, or music without needing separate earbuds, which often cause ear fatigue during long periods of use.
Battery life here is tailored for overnight use rather than all-day listening. The rechargeable battery supports 12+ hours of playback, which is sufficient for a full night's sleep plus a long nap, though it falls short of the multi-week endurance of the JLab. The mask is also washable, featuring a removable inner layer that makes hygiene easy—a crucial factor for a product worn directly against the skin. While it includes Type-C charging for convenience, it does not offer fast charging capabilities or the advanced noise-canceling microphones found in the JLab. It is best suited for shift workers, meditation users, and anyone who needs to block out light and sound to rest, rather than for high-fidelity music consumption or business calls.
• Best for Battery Life → JLab JBuds Lux ANC offers 70+ hours, far surpassing the 12-hour limit of the VINTEAM 3D.
• Best for Side Sleeping → VINTEAM 3D wins hands down with its 3D contoured cups that prevent eye pressure; JLab forces you to sit upright.
• Best for Active Noise Cancellation → JLab JBuds Lux ANC uses hybrid ANC to block up to 35 dB of noise, whereas VINTEAM relies on passive isolation and speaker placement.
• Best for Total Darkness → VINTEAM 3D provides a full blackout seal for your eyes, which JLab headphones cannot do.
• Best for Voice Assistant & Calls → JLab JBuds Lux ANC features cutting-edge noise-canceling microphones and multipoint connectivity for seamless switching.
• Best for Washability & Hygiene → VINTEAM 3D has a removable, washable inner layer; JLab earcups are not rated for water exposure and cannot be washed.
• Best for Long-Haul Flights (Awake) → JLab JBuds Lux ANC with its Spatial Audio and long battery is superior for keeping you entertained during a trip.
• Best for Airplane Sleep → VINTEAM 3D is the only logical choice if your goal is to sleep immediately upon boarding without blocking your ears with hard plastic cups.
I would buy the JLab JBuds Lux ANC for my general daily life, especially for airplane travel when I am awake. The combination of 70+ hours of battery life, spatial audio compatibility, and robust active noise cancellation makes it the superior tool for consuming content, working remotely, or commuting. It handles the demands of a busy schedule better than any sleep mask could. However, I keep the VINTEAM 3D specifically for when I need to sleep on a plane or in a bright hotel room. There is simply no substitute for a mask that lets me lie on my side without pain while blocking out the cabin lights. For the specific use case of traveling by air, the JLab is the better companion for the journey itself, while the VINTEAM is the essential tool for catching a few hours of rest during that journey.
Neither product explicitly advertises "fast charging" in its specifications. The JLab JBuds Lux ANC takes about 3 hours to fully charge but lasts 70+ hours, while the VINTEAM 3D uses a Type-C port for quick recharging to support its 12-hour runtime.
Yes, the JLab JBuds Lux ANC features touch controls that you can customize via the JLab App to manage calls, music, and noise cancellation modes easily. The VINTEAM 3D relies on physical buttons or app-based adjustments rather than touch gestures on the ear cups themselves, making the JLab more intuitive for adjusting settings while seated in an airport lounge.
The JLab JBuds Lux ANC is built with faux leather and plastic, offering a sturdy build for daily commutes, though it lacks an IP rating for water resistance. The VINTEAM 3D is constructed from memory foam, polyester, and ABS plastic with a removable inner layer, making it highly durable for repeated washing and travel packing, provided you treat the electronics gently.
