If you want an everyday pair of true wireless earbuds for commuting, workouts and calls with app-based sound tuning and a long warranty, choose JLab Go Air Pop+; if you need low-profile earbuds built for side sleeping, choose Piluyaa Sleep Earbuds.
• JLab Go Air Pop+ biggest strength: 9+ hours per earbud and 26+ hours from the USB-C case (35+ hours total), plus EQ3 sound presets and app control.
• JLab Go Air Pop+ biggest trade-off: no active noise cancellation — it relies on fit and a Be Aware Mode rather than blocking sound.
• Piluyaa Sleep Earbuds biggest strength: a tiny 3 g in-ear shape made for side sleepers, with 5–7 hours per bud and up to 58 hours from the case.
• Piluyaa Sleep Earbuds biggest trade-off: no IP rating listed, so I would not treat them as a workout or rain pair.
• Who each pick is for: JLab Go Air Pop+ suits commuters, gym-goers and anyone who wants one earbud in for calls; Piluyaa suits side sleepers, light sleepers and quiet listening in bed.
The Go Air Pop+ is the more conventional pair of the two, and that is exactly its appeal. Each earbud is rated for 9+ hours of playtime, and the slim USB-C case adds another 26+ hours, for 35+ hours total. That is roughly a full workweek of commutes before you need to think about a cable. The case itself is smaller than a credit card, and there is an integrated USB-C cable, so a short top-up gets you back to listening quickly.
Feature-wise, JLab leans into flexibility. EQ3 lets you switch between Signature, Bass Boost and Balanced, and the JLab App goes further — you can adjust EQ presets, manage touch controls and tweak the Be Aware setting, which pipes ambient sound in so you stay aware of traffic or a colleague at your desk. Dual Connect means either earbud works on its own, which is genuinely useful if you take a lot of calls and like keeping one ear free. Bluetooth 5.3 covers iOS, Android and PC, and each bud has a MEMS mic for voice pickup, with Siri and Google assistant access built in.
Who should buy it: commuters, gym users, students and anyone who wants a do-everything pair with app tuning, independent earbud use and a case that disappears into a pocket. Who should skip it: if your main goal is blocking noise to sleep, this is not the tool — there is no active noise cancellation, and the design is aimed at all-day listening rather than lying on your side. If you want the smallest possible bud for bed, the JLab is the wrong shape.
Piluyaa Sleep Earbuds: Who It's For
The Piluyaa Sleep Earbuds are built around one job: staying comfortable when you are lying down. Each earbud weighs just 3 g, and the shape is described as hugging the inner curve of your ear so it stays put when you sleep on your side. That is the whole point of the design — a standard earbud that sticks out of your ear gets pushed around by a pillow, while a mini in-ear shell like this one sits closer to flush. The case is compact enough to slip into a pocket, and the enclosure combines plastic with silicone, which fits the skin-friendly, low-profile story.
Battery is the other headline. Piluyaa rates the buds at 5–7 hours per charge and the case at up to 58 hours, with Type-C fast charging and an LED digital display that shows the case's remaining power — a small thing, but genuinely handy when you are charging overnight and want to know where you stand. Bluetooth 5.4 is the newer version here, with one-step pairing that auto-connects when you open the lid, and a listed range of 12 m.
Sound comes from 10 mm dynamic drivers with a 20 Hz–20 kHz range, 16 ohm impedance and 24 dB sensitivity, tuned for dynamic treble and punchy bass. Dual-ear touch controls handle play/pause, track skipping, volume, calls and the voice assistant, and the mics are there for calls on iOS and Android. Noise control is listed as sound isolation rather than active cancellation — it cuts ambient noise by sealing your ear, and Piluyaa notes the buds do it without a lot of beeps, which matters if you are drifting off.
Who should buy it: side sleepers, people who listen to podcasts or white noise in bed, and anyone who finds normal earbuds painful against a pillow. Who should skip it: if you want earbuds for the gym, running or rainy commutes, the lack of a stated IP rating is a real gap. And if you want app-based EQ, independent single-bud use or a long warranty, the JLab covers more ground.
Side-by-Side: Which Should You Choose?
• Best for sleep and side sleeping → Piluyaa Sleep Earbuds (3 g per bud, shaped for pillow contact).
• Best for workouts and light rain → JLab Go Air Pop+ (IPX4, three gel tip sizes).
• Best for app control and sound tuning → JLab Go Air Pop+ (EQ3 presets plus the JLab App).
• Best for newer Bluetooth and pairing speed → Piluyaa Sleep Earbuds (Bluetooth 5.4, one-step auto-connect).

• Best for oversized drivers on a budget-style pair → Piluyaa Sleep Earbuds (10 mm drivers vs 6 mm in the JLab).
• Best for warranty coverage → JLab Go Air Pop+ (2-year JLab warranty).
• Best for quiet, beep-free night listening → Piluyaa Sleep Earbuds (sound isolation, minimal alerts).
In my opinion, most people should buy the JLab Go Air Pop+. It covers more situations — commuting, workouts, calls, one-ear use — and it gives you app-based EQ, IPX4 protection and a 2-year warranty, which are the things I would want from a pair I use every day. I would only pick the Piluyaa Sleep Earbuds if sleeping comfortably on your side is the entire reason you are shopping. For that one job, the 3 g shell and the 58-hour case make it the smarter pick.
Not really. It is a standard in-ear bud with rounded tips and no sleep-specific shaping, so it is more likely to press against a pillow. The Piluyaa's 3 g mini design is the one aimed at side sleepers.
The spec lists sound isolation, not active noise cancellation. That means they reduce noise by sealing your ear and cutting ambient sound, which is usually enough for a bedroom but not the same as ANC on a plane or train.
JLab Go Air Pop+ on total playtime — 9+ hours per earbud plus 26+ hours in the case, for 35+ hours. Piluyaa runs 5–7 hours per bud with up to 58 hours in the case, so it wins on case capacity but not on single-charge listening.
The JLab Go Air Pop+ is IPX4 rated for sweat and light rain, so it is the safer choice for workouts. The Piluyaa sheet does not list an IP rating, so I would keep those indoors and dry.
