Principles of safer space

• WE ARE OPEN AND UNDERSTANDING

  • We are open and unbiased towards others and new topics.

  • We strive to understand and recognise our own prejudices. We are aware that our opinions may also change.

• WE RESPECT OTHERS AND OURSELVES

  • We respect everyone’s personal mental and physical space. If needed we also ask for space for ourselves when necessary. 

  • We don’t disrupt anyone verbally or by touching, and if we notice something like this happening, we bring attention to it.

• WE ACCEPT FEEDBACK AND APOLOGIZE

  • In conversation we are understanding, listen to others and allow space for learning and internalizing new things. We hear each other out and apologize, if we have offended anyone.

  • We bring up even difficult topics and situations. We try to intervene in possible harassment and other inappropriate behaviour.
