I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Texas at Arlington.

I am working with Prof. Michelle Hummel in the Civil Engineering department on the NOAA project "Ecosystem and community vulnerability to surface and subsurface flooding and salinity dynamics with sea level rise and adaptation strategies."

My responsibilities include conducting flooding simulations with adaptation scenarios for the California Coast using the CoSMoS framework (Delft3D and X-Beach simulation).

I finished my Ph.D. program in Civil Engineering under Prof. James Kaihatu and Prof. Kuang An Chang's guidance, involved in a Texas Sea-Grant College Program.

At Texas A&M University, I was in charge of the simulation part of the TGLO project "Prediction of Texas wetland erosion through remote sensing, field surveys, and numerical modeling."

And I was also actively involved in UAV surveying. I had conducted UAV surveys in the Galveston Island and Bolivar peninsula before and after the arrival of Hurricanes.

Research interests :

(1) Ocean Wave Mechanics & Dynamics, Hydrodynamic Simulations (SWAN, Delft3D)

(2) Topography and Bathymetry measurements using Unmanned Aerial System (Drone)

(3) Meteorological  data processes (Interpolation, kriging, and downscaling method) for Hydrodynamic Simulations

(4) Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Erosion Monitoring System

Please refer to my research page and publications for more details on some of the work I've been doing in some of these areas.
