1. Introduction: Welcome to Jino. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application "Jino" collects, uses, and safeguards your information, specifically in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable international privacy laws. The data controller for this application operates out of Greece.
2. Information We Collect: We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our App:
Personal Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name via Google Firebase Authentication.
User Content: We store the text messages you send to Jino and the AI's responses to maintain your conversation history and provide personalized "memory" features.
Images You Share: If you upload or share photos or screenshots within a chat, we process that image content to generate a relevant AI response. Images are used for that response only and are covered under Section 3 below.
Gamification & Economy Data: We collect data regarding your daily streaks, level progress, task completion, and virtual "Energy" balance to maintain the app's economy.
Device Information: We may collect basic device information (model, OS version) for debugging and crash reporting purposes.
3. Third-Party Sub-Processors & AI Processing: We utilize trusted third-party services to operate the App securely. By using Jino, you consent to your data being processed by the following services, some of which operate servers outside the European Economic Area (including in the United States), with appropriate safeguards in place:
Google Firebase: For secure user authentication and encrypted cloud database storage.
Google Gemini API: To generate the AI character's responses. This includes your chat messages and conversation history; any photos or screenshots you share in a chat, used for that message's response only; your profile details (display name, bio, and stated interests) and selected AI personality, used to personalize responses; and gamification content, used to generate personalized daily quests and, where enabled, push notification text. Your data is processed via API securely and is not used by Google to train their public foundational AI models.
RevenueCat: To securely manage "Jino Infinite" subscriptions and premium entitlements. RevenueCat handles subscription states but does not have access to your private chat logs.
4. Your Rights Under GDPR (Data Retention & Deletion): Under the GDPR, you have complete ownership of your data. Your data is stored securely only for as long as your account is active.
The Right to Erasure: You have the right to instantly delete your data. Jino provides a built-in "Reset Data" feature within the app's settings. Utilizing this feature will permanently purge your chat history, custom quests, and profile data from our active servers.
Account & Data Deletion Request: You may also submit a formal data deletion request by contacting us at jinoinfinitehelper@gmail.com. We will process all deletion requests within 30 days.
5. Age Restriction:s Due to the nature of AI interactions and European data laws, this App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16 in the European Economic Area (EEA), or under 13 in other jurisdictions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under these ages. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
