My name is Huixing Jin, and I am currently serving as a Teaching Assistant in Finance at Tokyo Metropolitan University.

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Osaka University in 2024. Prior to that, I earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from Monash University, Australia in 2017, and a Master’s degree in Applied Econometrics in 2019. From 2019 to 2021, I worked in financial market research at Zhong Hang Securities in Beijing, China.

I hold professional certifications including Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and China Securities Analyst, and I am fluent in English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.

My research is driven by the belief that “what is considered common sense in one country may not be so in another.” I investigate this idea through both theoretical and empirical work, using cross-country data to explore how institutional, cultural, and regulatory differences shape market anomalies, investor behavior, and asset pricing dynamics in both advanced and emerging markets.
