Hi! My name is Jing Gardner, and I grew up in West Seattle. I graduated from Chief Sealth High School in 2023, earning back-to-back Softball Metro League MVPs. I currently play on the University of Washington softball team while pursuing a degree in business. I am a right-handed hitter and utility player, with in game experience in both the infield and outfield. My journey began playing baseball for West Seattle Baseball, where I participated on several All-Star teams. I then transitioned to softball, playing for top travel teams such as Team Seattle and the Northwest Bullets out of Oregon.
MISSION
My mission is to establish a long-lasting softball culture in West Seattle and the greater Seattle area. This sport offers many great opportunities that youth athletes deserve to experience. I aim to help as many athletes as possible form a healthy, loving relationship with the sport that has shaped who I am today.
GROWING TOGETHER
I currently have the pleasure of being on staff with the WA Ladyhawks Fleury 14U team, working mainly with the infield and offense. Since starting, I've worked with over 300 athletes, ranging in age from 8 to 17, around West Seattle, totaling 7 clinics and over 100 individual sessions. Additionally, I help with UW camps throughout the year. These experiences have continually taught me how to provide helpful feedback in ways that kids of all ages can understand.
