I do drawing very often before, occasionally nowadays, but I always don't feel like my skill is enough to create something that seems realistic. Also, I was planning to find some references to draw. Therefore, I started to practice drawing something "realistic" with references.
Although I said I wanna practice shading, the main thing I wanted to do is actually anatomy. Therefore, at that time I chose an iconic popular artistic artwork to reference, Michelangelo's David. This digital drawing took me roughly four hours to do. I didn't really have many complaints or struggle too much when I draw this. The process itself was pretty fun and simple. All I did is trying to draw the shadow as close as possible to the original images (the left one).
The result itself looks alright, the proportion isn't perfect but it wasn't the thing I'm caring about. I had fun doing this, and I will like to spend some time doing this again in the future. This made me appreciate more on doing art and understanding the fact that art takes effort and time to do.
