It was the last week of school before winter holiday. I decided to join my art teacher’s workshop for fun. They were doing caricature, which is to draw people by exaggerating their existing features and forms. Both of my friends were there during the workshop time, so we just took our time and chill while doing this activity.
I was pretty restrained at the start, not many features were pushed, until I felt like I was losing the purpose of doing this, the point is just to be bold, so I did. The color was made with extra free time of mine at home.
Rarely I draw humorous and comic-like portraits like this, but I embraced the fun of it, and I want to try something new in art form, as it is something I’m interested in and considering taking it as my future major. I was open-minded with this activity overall. Art can vary, so it’s good for me to get out of my comfort zone from time to time, explore and try something new.
