Jillian Weiss

Jillian Weiss is a writer and educator living in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She was born in North Carolina and spent her adolescence in London as a daughter of Christian missionaries. She writes magical-realist memoir and essays concerned with spirituality, culture clash, and home-building.


Jillian received her MFA in Creative Nonfiction at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Her essays are published in Michigan Quarterly Review, The Cincinnati Review, The Missouri Review, Reed, and elsewhere. She won the North Carolina Writer's Network Rose Post Creative Nonfiction Prize and teaches English and Creative Writing at R.J. Reynolds Highschool.
