XRV 750

A tribute to good old Africa Twin 750, which has served 400tkm+

I bought it fresh new at 1997.

First upgrades were center stand and heated grips. Kappa luggage rack and bags came after that.

A comfort saddle from Lyon "Yves Moillo Selleries"

Rear shock was changed to Öhlins with remote spring load adjuster.

Front end changed to Marzocchi Shiver 50 from African Queens. Marzocchi kit was made in Boano Moto / Racing.

36 litre carbon/kevlar tank

Carbon / kevlar front fairings.

Known issues were the regulator and fuel pump. Regulator was changed two times while travelling in Austria and Portugal. To fix the regulator problem, just add 6mm aluminium plate under the regulator as a heat sink. The fuel pump was changed in Andorra and the pump is for Nissan Patrol.

The speedo gear fails after each 100tkm. I have also changed front brake disks after each 100tkm.

The main relay connector tends to heat up and burn. I have fixed two individual connectors so far.

Original wheel bearings last some 40tkm, you should replace them with bearings which are protected in both sides.

At some point I bought another bike as spare parts source. I've used radiators and the whole engine as replacement. A second set of wheels is also handy.
