Jianmin Wang is a research assistant professor of Digital Forestry in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources at Purdue University. He dedicates his research to monitoring and understanding forest responses, such as species shift and phenological dynamics, to climate change and disturbances. His research uses ground surveys and remote sensing data gathered from satellites, airborne platforms, and UAVs. He adopts an extensive analytical methodology, utilizing statistical modeling, machine learning, and geospatial analysis, facilitated by cloud computing platforms like Google Earth Engine and high-performance computing environments.
