Jianan Yang
Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Global Health and Development (iGHD) at Peking University.
I specialize in research at the intersection of development and health economics. My studies delve into the factors influencing healthcare-seeking behaviors in developing nations and explore strategies—both price-based and alternative mechanisms—to enhance them. Additionally, I am keenly interested in medical innovation within these countries.
Before joining Peking University, I was an Asia Health Policy Program postdoctoral fellow at the Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (Shorenstein APARC) at Stanford University from 2022-2023. I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California San Diego in 2022.
