On writing and AI: In the era of AI, as a writer, I feel like it’s so important to let out the most human voice. I am open to using AI to facilitate various tasks, including research, but my writing is about me and I can’t let that part go because it’s the last line of defense to hold firmly as a living person. I write every single sentence in the pieces I publish on my site from scratch. I generate every artistic idea and make each artistic decision involved in a piece on my own until a draft is created. I take inspiration from what I read, see and experience. I use AI for proofreading; in certain cases it can act as an editor, usually when I push back as a non-native English speaker on a particular weird word choice or grammatical bent that it tries to smooth out, and we engage in a discussion until one convinces the other.
