Sorry, but the webstore is still not up and running. This is a priority, but life got a little crazy last year, and somehow that got lost in the shuffle. We are still accepting orders through our Facebook page. Just shoot us a message with what you would like, your PayPal email address, and preferred shipping (media mail or priority flat-rate). We will invoice you and once paid, ship it out with tracking.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Yes, we are a little behind on this, but there is A LOT going on...

First off, we are pleased to announce our first trip to Gary Con in March. Joe and Shawn conspired to create an adventure from a meme for First Edition titled "Velour Palace of the Disco Emperor". This was designed thanks to an open request by Luke Gygax to see it run. Shawn is finishing art as I type, as we are taking ONE copy to Gary Con XI for the auction to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. This adventure will have three sessions run of it as well. At this time, there are no plans to release this adventure, though if there is enough interest, it may happen in the future...

Also of note, we have penciled in MARCON and Origins into our schedules again. Unfortunately, it seems Put-In-Play Con was a one-and-done event sadly, as we have not heard from them since the days just after it. Their Facebook and webpages are silent and there have been no responses to emails or phone messages. Sad to say, this promising convention just faded away. We are contemplating Gen Con and Gamehole as well this year.

Cult of Petosega is in the final art and layout stages, and a few other new adventures are in various states of completion. More on those after Gary Con XI.

2019 Con Dates:

  • Gary Con XI, March 7-10, Lake Geneva, WI
  • MARCON 55, May 10-12, Worthington, OH (Yes they moved just outside of Columbus)
  • Origins Game Fair, June 6-12, Columbus, OH
  • Gen Con, August 1-4, Indianapolis, IN*
  • Gamehole, October 31-November 3, Madison, WI*

*: Denotes possible convention. Watch out Facebook for confirmation.

July 1, 2018

We are just getting over our Con Drain from 3 days at Marcon, 2 days at Put-In-Play Con, and 5 days at Origins. 10 days in a month, 7 in just over a week. A lot of playtesting was completed successfully, and we are in the process of revising and editing the five adventures playtested for release late this summer. The order we are releasing in is as follows:

  • Cult of Petosega, a 1st level adventure for 4-6 characters
  • Sewers of Mulmaster, a 6th level adventure for 4-6 characters
  • Rise of the Ebony Hand, a 9th level adventure for 4-6 characters
  • Mahrlee's Brood, an 11th level adventure for 4-6 characters
  • Curse of Sumbral, a multi-part adventure for 4-6 characters

Of special note, Curse of Sumbral will involve three sections in one book. The first is the conversion notes of the Ed Greenwood adventure, "The Whistling Skeleton", from Dungeon Magazine #29, for characters at 1st level. The second part involves the characters coming across one of his old lairs hidden within a dangerous swamp, for characters of 9th level. The third involves his tower, and is designed for characters of 17th level. Curse of Sumbral is meant to be a drawn out story arc that can be inserted into any existing campaign as a subplot.

Also of note, Rise of the Ebony Hand, for those that playtested it, has been revised and expanded, and the plan of a trilogy has been dropped in favor of using this as an introduction to the Ebony Hand faction. Some further playtesting for this adventure will come later this summer, dates and locations to be determined.

Lethal Lexicon has sold well, and copies are still available through our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/J.HalkGames). Still only $26 including shipping in the U.S., orders outside the U.S. may message us for a shipping cost ($20 USD +shipping).

Lastly, we are once again nominated for the Fan Favorite category at the 2018 ENnie Awards. We also submitted Lethal Lexicon for consideration for an ENnie, and will find out if we are a finalist on July 4th. Watch our Facebook for details.

Here are some pictures from the convention tour this summer. Enjoy!

April 16th, 2018

LOTS of work has been accomplished over the winter and spring. Thanks to our amazing new Art team of Shawn Garchow, Karen Bingaman, Lori Congdon, and Justin Muma, the LETHAL LEXICON is due for release on April 29th. LETHAL LEXICON will be available in hard copy through our Facebook page and at MARCON in Columbus this May.

Also on our plate, 5, yes, FIVE playtesting sessions of forthcoming adventures for DMsGuild at both MARCON and Origins are scheduled. Dates and Times TBA.

Down the road, we have a special project underway that is strictly for DMsGuild written by Robert Smith that is set in a place not seen in a long time (That is ALL I can reveal). We also have Shawn and Karen working on a magical item book, and we are already looking ahead as to what monsters will appear in Lethal Lexicon II.

More to come...
