My name is Jey L. Bas. My original home was in the city of Chicago, Illinois. Writing is something I have done since I was seventeen. I am forty years old and still writing. I now see my writing as a gift that enables me to share and express who I am, whereas before I thought it was fake.

My life has experienced many things, much like that proverb. I have experienced and overcome many challenges. I would not be the writer I am today without assistance.

My family disapproved of my lifestyle and identity, so I had to be my man and follow my path to stay true to myself, even though I had always felt different from them since I was a small child. I am a gay author.

ADHD is one of my additional disabilities. However, the primary contributing factor to my childhood that emerged during my school years was ADHD. My mind and brain do not work the same way as other people's. However, it also opened my eyes to a new perspective on words, life, and other things.

At that young age, I also discovered that passing exams in school wasn't sufficient for me. However, writing elevates me to a higher intellectual level that I believe you and I can both relate to.

I am grateful for my life and my disability. Without you, I would not be who I am.
