Any person born of a Jewish mother is Jewish according to the matrilineal descent by which a person’s Jewishness is always determined.

A person may convert to Judaism if that is their wish to do so, but the conversion must be managed and assessed by an authentic Jewish Orthodox Rabbi in order to be considered a valid conversion to Judaism. Even so, not all applicants are automatically accepted, either at the onset or even during the process, due to valid Torah reasons.

There are many groups whose so-called conversions are illegitimate and therefore those so-called converts are not Jewish at all, and their children are not Jewish if the other parent is not a woman who is a Jew according to halacha, Jewish Law. Please avoid an invalid conversion.
