This Privacy Policy explains how Jewish Quotes – Daily Wisdom (the “App”), including its Home Screen widget, handles information. It applies to the App, not to any separate website that hosts this policy.
Information handled by the App
The App does not require an account. It does not send your favorites, searches, or notification preferences to a developer-operated server.
To provide its features, the App stores the following information locally on your device:
- The identifiers of quotes you add to Favorites.
- Your selected notification time and frequency, and whether the App has already asked for notification permission.
- The current quote's text, category, source, and type in a shared on-device container so the widget can display it.
Searches are performed within the offline quote library. The App does not store a search history or transmit search terms to us.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App schedules quote reminders locally using Apple's notification system. The App does not use a remote push-notification service. You can change or revoke notification permission at any time in your device's iOS Settings. Notification preferences remain on your device until you change them or remove the App.
Purchase and payment information
The App is offered as a one-time paid download through Apple's App Store, with a listed US price of $0.99. Prices, taxes, and currency may vary by region. The App currently has no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
Apple processes the purchase and payment. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple may provide developers with sales, refund, and purchase-receipt information in connection with App Store distribution. Sharing, analytics, and advertising
The App contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and does not use cookies or tracking technologies. It does not automatically share your quote activity with us or third parties.
If you choose **Copy** or **Share**, the selected quote is sent to the clipboard or to the app or service you select through iOS. How that destination handles information is governed by its own privacy practices.
Apple may collect App Store usage and device diagnostics under its own policies, independently of this App. This policy does not govern Apple's processing of that information.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive the email address and information you choose to include. We use it only to respond to your request and retain it only as long as reasonably needed for that purpose or as required by law. You may ask us to delete your correspondence by contacting us at the address above.
Retention and deletion
The App's locally stored favorites and preferences remain on your device until you change them or delete the App. Deleting the App removes its local data from the device, subject to any device backups managed by Apple. We do not maintain a server-side copy of that data. Your App Store purchase record is managed by Apple and is not deleted by removing the App.
To stop quote notifications, revoke notification permission in iOS Settings. For questions or requests about information you sent to us by email, contact us using the address above.
Security
The App relies on iOS on-device storage and system permissions. No method of storage is guaranteed to be perfectly secure. We recommend protecting your device with a passcode and keeping iOS updated.
Children
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us by email, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the App or our practices change. The updated version will be posted at this location with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
