Jetting Weather: DA Tuning — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-11
This app is built to respect your privacy. We do not sell your personal data, and
your content stays on your device. This policy explains the limited data the app uses.
INFORMATION THE APP USES
- precise location (GPS) (used only to fetch the local air temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure for your position so the app can compute density altitude and a relative jetting correction — your location is used on your device and to request weather for that coordinate; it is not stored on our servers).
- motion & environment / barometer sensor (used only to read the device's absolute air pressure at your location for a more accurate density-altitude reading; readings are used on your device only).
- anonymous diagnostics and crash reports (via Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) to keep the app stable.
- an advertising identifier and related data used by Google AdMob to show ads. On iOS, the app asks for your permission via App Tracking Transparency (ATT) before any tracking, and uses Google's UMP consent flow to honor GDPR/EEA choices. You can decline tracking and the app keeps working with non-personalized ads.
This app does NOT use the camera or the microphone.
HOW IT IS USED
Density altitude, air-density ratio, and the relative jetting suggestion are computed
on-device from the temperature, humidity, and pressure at your location. Your saved
baseline and session log are stored on your device only. The jetting output is RELATIVE
tuning guidance based on your own saved baseline — it is not a guarantee, and jetting
always depends on your specific engine, fuel, and altitude. Always verify with a plug chop.
We use the data above only to provide the app's features, to keep the app stable, and
(with your consent) to show ads. We do not build advertising profiles ourselves and we do
not upload your content to our servers.
DATA RETENTION & YOUR CONTROL
Settings and content you create (your baseline and session log) are stored on your device
and are removed when you delete the app. You can revoke location, motion, or tracking
permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app; the app will continue to work with
reduced features (for example, falling back to forecast pressure when the barometer is off).
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The app may use: Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics), Google AdMob (ads), and the
Open-Meteo weather API (to fetch temperature, humidity, and pressure for your coordinate).
Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
CHILDREN
This app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal
information from children.
