Jeremy Rigby is a roving performer / street entertainer based in Brisbane Australia with over thirty years performance experience. He has performed costume characters and magic shows throughout Australia and Asia including events for the Australian Government in Japan and Korea, and also the Queensland and United States Governments in Japan. Jeremy specializes in costume characters and is working on a magic show for children’s birthday parties and corporate shows.
As a foundation member of SPLAT, Australia's leading roving comedy acrobatic trio he has performed throughout Australia and Asia until 1992. In 1992 he left on a working holiday to Japan. In Japan he began his solo performing career. He has a number of roving performance styles and stage shows suitable for all events. For day events three characters are usually performed for a standard of thirty minutes each with a minimum of thirty minutes break between shows. The use of different characters creates an atmosphere of a number of performers being present for the cost of one.
Jeremy is also an award winning film and television writer. Jeremy has two works in pre-production: “An Infamous Cocktail Show” series two and “Solitude” short film. He also has a feature film “An Australian Memoir” in development. Jeremy is also in discussion with two well-known American producers looking to option his North Korean / Japanese spy thriller “NK SPY”. In addition, Jeremy has a reality show concept “Penny Pushers” under option with Spoon Entertainment America and is about to release his self-produced and written short films “An Afterlife” and Tropfest entry “SinBin”. In 2015 he was a grand finalist for best foreign screenplay in the prestigious Fresh Voices International screenplay competition for his feature film screenplay “Genetic Warrior”.
