If you want a quiet, reliable upgrade for your electric dirt bike that cuts down on noise and requires minimal effort to install, choose Jerbor 1; if you need heavy-duty stopping power for a Polaris UTV in muddy, high-heat off-road conditions, choose TUSK Brake Pad. These two products serve entirely different worlds of riding, and picking the wrong one isn't just an inconvenience—it's a safety risk. As a pet owner who spends weekends navigating trails with my dog in tow, I know how critical it is to match the right hardware to the vehicle you are actually driving. You cannot take an electric bike pad to a mud bog, and you certainly shouldn't use a UTV brake setup on a lightweight e-bike.
• Jerbor 1: Its biggest strength is the quiet operation and ease of installation for specific electric bikes, but its trade-off is extremely limited vehicle compatibility restricted to Tuttio Soleil01 and Heybike Villain models.
• TUSK Brake Pad: It offers massive versatility across dozens of Polaris models with sintered metal durability for heat resistance, yet it is over-engineered and physically incompatible with smaller electric bicycles.
• Who is this for? Jerbor 1 is the clear winner for electric bike owners seeking low-noise performance, while TUSK is the essential choice for Polaris UTV drivers tackling rough terrain.
The Jerbor 1 is designed with a very specific mission: to bring stability and silence to the rear disc brakes of electric dirt bikes. These pads are crafted from a blend of high-quality copper fiber and aluminum. This combination isn't just about raw stopping force; it is engineered to provide a high static friction coefficient without generating the screeching grind that often plagues cheaper organic compounds. For anyone who rides in residential areas or early morning trails where noise is a concern, this "low noise" characteristic is a genuine benefit rather than a minor footnote.
Safety is another pillar of this product's design. The data emphasizes a short adaptation time to the disc and a small pulling force required to engage the brakes. This translates to a ride feel that is stable and comfortable, allowing the rider to modulate power precisely without needing to clamp down hard. This is particularly relevant for electric bikes, which can deliver instant torque. If you are a pet owner, like me, who might be towing a trailer or carrying gear, having a braking system that responds predictably with minimal hand effort adds a layer of security that you simply cannot compromise on.
However, you must be incredibly careful about fitment. The Jerbor 1 is not a universal part. It is explicitly stated to be suitable only for the Tuttio Soleil01 and the Heybike Villain (specifically the black yellow bike variant). If your electric bike does not match these exact models, this part will not work. Furthermore, while the installation is described as easy enough for simple hand tools in roughly three minutes, the narrow scope of compatibility means there is no room for error. If you own a generic e-bike or a different brand, this product is not the solution. It is a precision fit for a specific machine, offering premium performance within that narrow lane but offering nothing outside of it.

In stark contrast, the TUSK Brake Pad is built for the brutal reality of utility terrain vehicles. This is not a part designed for smooth pavement or quiet neighborhoods; it is a sintered metal pad designed to handle the abuse of off-roading. The key differentiator here is the sintered copper alloy construction. Sintering involves fusing metal particles under heat and pressure, creating a material that is inherently more durable and heat resistant than standard organic pads.
When you are driving a heavy UTV up a steep incline or through deep mud, the brakes generate immense heat. Standard pads can fade under that thermal load, meaning you press the lever and nothing happens. The TUSK pad is explicitly noted for being heat resistant without fading, ensuring consistent stopping power even after repeated hard stops. The high friction of the sintered copper alloy provides increased stopping power, which is non-negotiable when you are hauling a family or a load of hunting gear down a slippery hill. The fact that it fits both the right and left front sides further simplifies inventory for mechanics and riders alike.
This product replaces specific OEM numbers (2203318, 2209280, etc.), indicating it is an exact specification match for Polaris engineering. This ensures an OEM-spec precise fit, meaning you don't have to worry about alignment issues or caliper clearance problems that can arise with aftermarket parts that cut corners. However, this heavy-duty nature comes with a trade-off. Sintered metal pads are generally louder and harsher than organic ones. They are not designed for silence. If you were to try to install these on a lightweight electric bike, they would likely cause excessive vibration, noise, and potentially damage the rotor due to their hardness and mass. They are a tool for work and play in the dirt, not a comfort accessory for urban commuting.
• Best for Noise Reduction → Jerbor 1: The copper fiber and aluminum blend is specifically tuned for low noise, making it ideal for environments where silence matters.
• Best for Heat Resistance → TUSK Brake Pad: The sintered copper alloy construction is built to withstand high temperatures without fading, essential for heavy off-road use.
• Best for Electric Bike Owners → Jerbor 1: Only works on the specified Tuttio Soleil01 and Heybike Villain models; do not attempt to adapt this to other vehicles.
• Best for UTV Drivers → TUSK Brake Pad: Covers a vast array of Polaris RZR, Ranger, and General models from 2008 to 2026; essential for maintaining control on heavy machines.
• Best for Ease of Installation → Jerbor 1: Designed to be installed with simple hand tools in approximately three minutes for quick maintenance.
• Best for Heavy-Duty Durability → TUSK Brake Pad: The sintered metal offers long-lasting wear and superior stopping power compared to softer materials.
• Best for Pet Owners in Specific Vehicles → Jerbor 1: Provides stable, low-effort braking for e-bikes, reducing physical strain when managing pets on trails.
• Best for Off-Road Safety → TUSK Brake Pad: Delivers the necessary stopping power and fade resistance required for safe operation in challenging terrain.
I would buy the Jerbor 1 if I am riding my electric bike and the TUSK Brake Pad if I am behind the wheel of my Polaris. There is no middle ground here because the physics of the two vehicles demand different solutions. For my life as a pet owner, the Jerbor 1 makes sense for the e-bike because the low noise and light pull force allow me to stop smoothly without startling my dog or losing control of the lighter frame. Conversely, if I were taking the UTV out into the woods, I would never consider anything less than the TUSK sintered metal pad. The heat resistance and sheer stopping power are the only things that give me confidence when the trail gets steep and wet. Do not mix these up; choosing the wrong one leaves you stranded or unsafe. Check the current price on Amazon for the specific model you need, but stick to the compatibility lists provided above.
