I am having a problem with my downloaded fonts not previewing correctly in Design Space. I have contacted Customer Care, but they were no help. I cleared the cache, restarted my computer and rebooted the program, UGH!!!

Hi there! Make sure when downloading fonts that you are downloading the .OTF file versus any others. Also, just because they may not preview correctly in your fonts list, they should still work when you are creating your design.

Next, you'll need to install the fonts on your computer and make sure they work in Cricut Design Space. If you aren't sure how to do that, I have a helpful blog post that will guide you through the steps!

NOTE: If these fonts aren't the writing style you're looking for, that's okay! You don't have to use these fonts to write with your Cricut. There are other options online and within Cricut Design Space. I'll show you what to look for to make sure you're selecting the right kind.

This will happen with fonts that are not designed for writing. I do want to note that Cricut Sans actually does have a writing variation. If you do not see the writing version when you select "Pen," you need to click the drop-down under "Style" and select "Writing."

I was wondering if I wanted to cut a design then write on it with the cricut how do i do that? I designed something in design space but when I went to make it the text went to the top and the images stayed in place.

Jennifer I love your blog, FB page and your webpage. I am enrolled in your new Cricut Design Classes. I am having trouble finding writing fonts and kerned fonts. I downloaded a ton of pretty fonts from DAFONT.com but they loaded as cut only. I also want to use some pretty kerned writing fonts since I make a ton of cards. Any help would be appreciate.
