Jen Goley

My work is inspired by nature and the beauty of my rural surroundings. I am moved by nature’s fleeting moments: the light, color, and movement that define its subtle beauty. The subjects for my pieces are found in places as small as a fresh blossom in my garden and as sweeping as the pastoral landscapes of the Midwest.

As a fiber artist trained in painting and graphic design, my work combines my love of the color and movement of paint and the texture and tradition of rug hooking in a medium I call painting with wool. I use a variety of natural fibers and handwork techniques to achieve a range of texture, color, and depth in my pieces.
