Training

Make sure all your staff are trained on your EPA systems, processes, procedures, and policies. In addition, make sure that all your assessors and IQAs are trained on your assessment tools and materials. This must be supported by ongoing training and standardisation:

• Ofqual Condition H1.1 :For each qualification which it makes available, an awarding organisation must have in place effective arrangements to ensure that, as far as possible, the criteria against which Learners’ performance will be differentiated are –

  • • (a) understood by Assessors and accurately applied, and

    • (b) applied consistently by Assessors, regardless of the identity of the Assessor, Learner or Centre

• OfS EQA guidance: the readiness team will check  and review EpAO training materials for assessors

To help things run smoothly, make sure your customers have access to and understand / know how to use your policies and systems (excluding anything confidential).
