Add a synonym list / chart to your documents to give you flexibility in the use of terminology

Ofqual does not use the same language as the DfE/ESFA, IfATE, or employers, but that does not mean you have to use Ofqual language across all of your documents.

So why not create a chart and state that the following words may be used interchangeably depending upon the context and audience of the document:

Note - this hint and tip is applicable to non-integrated degree apprenticeships that are regulated by Ofqual. For those delivering integrated degree end-point assessment, you are lucky, the OfS uses the same terminology as the ESFA/DfE and IfATE in their EQA documentation
