Complete embedded minimal surfaces in the doubled Schwarzschild 3-manifold

We explore the existence of complete embedded minimal surfaces that has the planar asymptotic behavior in the doubled Schwarzschild 3-manifold which is an important example of an asymptotically flat space. In particular, we construct complete embedded minimal surfaces of finite topology in the doubled Schwarzschild 3-manifold using the classical desingularization method. This minimal surface has planar end along with finite total curvature and quadratic area growth. This talk is based on the joint work with Choe and Lee.
