I am an Assistant Professor at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. I received my PhD in Public Administration, with field concentrations in Social Policy and Public Finance, at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
The primary focus of my research is on understanding the roles of housing and education policies, as well as neighborhoods and school infrastructure, in shaping education and health outcomes of children. Another strand of her research explores how administrative burden and discretion influence access to programs and the effectiveness of housing and education policies. My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, American Review of Public Administration, Housing Studies, and Regional Science and Urban Economics.
Before joining academia, I worked as a policy intern at the US Department of Education and a research assistant at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
