Experienced how the research process begins by performing experiments on insects. I did research on the harmful but legal chemical BPA, and how it affected the testes and ovaries of earwigs. This experience gave me a good outlook and appreciation on how the research process starts and how drugs will end up in clinical trials in my office someday.

Hello,

I have my Vue setup on my 240V mains (120V per phase). I am confused whether I should set the multiplier to 1 or 2 for an an accurate reading of my mains. I assume the vue senses if a load is one one CT (phase) or the other and calculates accordingly?

One thing I have learned over the years it was is simple to me can be hard for others to understand. I have a EE degree so these multiplier calculations seem simple. I also have many more things that are hard for me to understand than are simple. I think a web calculator where the circuit voltage is entered and the multiplier is provided would be helpful.

My play style is definitely engage from a distance and then have something for close quarters like an SMG or L-star. Usually running a marksman weapon, with g7 as a last choice, the recoil on it this season after each shot makes me feel dirty.

But with the emphasis on higher placement for ranked I'm relying on gun skills and survival with team and then locking down an area if we're right, in a pinch or finding a good spot to lock down end ring, having the ring console forecast is so clutch, knowing where to go, getting there and locking it down

Because the existing system was wired without the VE.Bus BMS mains detector, and because the main detector can apparently be purchased only as part of full VE.Bus BMS package, I am trying to understand what exactly are the cases where the mains detector is needed.

From the VE.BMS and Multiplus documentation I understood that when the BMS disconnects the battery, and disables the Multiplus due to low voltage alarm, the charging will not restart automatically when AC is plugged in.

Yet when I tested this now twice, by slowly discharging the batteries until BMS disconnects them, and then plugging in the external AC, the Multiplus always started charging after several seconds automatically.

@laurMTB I did upgrade to VE.BUS BMS v2 and after re-reading the manual, I do understand it the same way as you. That is: Mains Detector is required for older Multiplus units, but is no longer required for new style Multiplus models...

Horrors! Especially observant readers will have detected the following errors in past issues:

On pages 14 and 15 of the Summer/Fall 2004 issue, MEDEA & The Classic Steam Yachts, the photo identified asVenetia is actually Nahlin on San Diego Bay in the 1930s.

On page 34 of the Winter 2005 issue, The Kettenburgs: San Diego Yacht Builders, Tom Kettenburg points out that the boat repair division was incorrectly identified as a significant source of revenue for the company. In fact, it was seldom very profitable at all. Charlie Underwood, Jr., points out that the same article fails to mention that his father, a partner in the Kettenburg firm, was very much involved in the layout and design of their postwar sailboats.
